No one leads forever. That’s why I often talk about ministry succession and leadership transition.

Every leadership position is temporary. Someone else will have that position at some point in the future. The goal of a good succession plan is to help the next leader succeed.

As we think about leadership transition, there are three main aspects to consider:

  • Organizational
  • Relational
  • Spiritual

There are plenty of books and podcasts that address organizational and relational issues in transition. I have found none that address the spiritual warfare part of leadership transition. I hope this brief message helps.
