– Annual fast week. Day 1.

–  Now reading “Fasting” by Jentezen Franklin. Good book. Buy it. Read it. Eat it.

– I am completely bored with American college football bowl games.

– I’m equally uninterested in the NFL and the NBA. Not sure why. Used to like both. Don’t really care now. Except for next week when the Titans play. I’m a bandwagon fan.

– Preached @ Bethel Franklin yesterday. Full building. No room for growth. Already need to go to two services. But, if we don’t care about reaching the community, and we only care about ourselves and our comfort, then I guess we can just stick with one service. Lots of churches just stay the same size, seemingly on purpose. Probably not a good idea.

– I hate fasting.

– I love the results and benefits of fasting.

– I love praying with people who are fasting and hungry for God.

– I’m already hungry. . .
for more of God,
for more of God’s word,
for more of God’s presence,
for God’s direction,
for God’s voice,
for God’s power.

– and for 5 Guys Burgers & Fries and Peter’s Sushi.

– If you are planning to start the new year with a few days or weeks of prayer and fasting, I suggest you read a good fasting book to build your faith. My suggestion: “The Mystery of the Empty Stomach” by Joey Bonifacio.

– I think 2009 will be our (Murrell fam, Every Nation, Victory, Real Life Foundation) best year ever.
