Deborah and I just returned from Every Nation-Singapore’s 10th anniversary celebration. During the celebration they showed a 5-minute history video that included a short clip of me preaching about missions, with a full head of hair. Was that really me? If so, who is that wrinkled old bald guy in my mirror every morning? When did I get so old? I joked with the congregation that maybe I should resume wearing my wig again. It is always a joy to be with my Singaporean friends. Pastor Larry and Elaine Matsuwaki have done an exceptional job of planting and leading that church. They are a shining example of a Christ-centered, disciple-making, mission-focused church.

Along with the church’s anniversary, we also celebrated my 47th birthday at one of our all-time favorite restaurants, “The Humble House” with its signature smoking desserts and the world’s best wasabi shrimp.

Ninety minutes after we landed in Manila Sunday night, William arrived from Nashville. Hard to believe he has finished his freshman year at Lipscomb University. To celebrate his homecoming, we are all off to the beach for some family time, so we will be offline and out of touch for a few days.
