Hebrews 4:12 teaches us what God’s word is like (active and living) and what it does (pierces and discerns). This is true whenever we interact with the Bible, whether we are teaching it or meditating on it for ourselves. It forms Christ in us and in the people we lead.
As spiritual leaders, we place our confidence not in our own abilities but in the power of God’s word.
