MYTH 1: You lose most of your body heat through your head.
TRUTH 1: You lose about 10% of your body heat through your head.
MYTH 2: It takes seven years to digest chewing gum.
TRUTH 2: While not digested, chewing gum passes through your system with the rest of the junk you eat.
MYTH 3: Eating turkey makes you sleepy because it contains tryptophan.
TRUTH 3: Ham and cheese contain more tryptophan than turkey.
Now for some common discipleship myths:
MYTH 1: My pastor’s job is to minister to me.
TRUTH 1: My pastor’s job is to equip me to minister to others.
MYTH 2: I’m not ready to be used by God yet.
TRUTH 2: God is ready to use me now.
MYTH 3: No one should minister until they are mature.
TRUTH 3: No one will mature unless they minister.
I will be busting these and other discipleship myths at Bethel Brentwood Sunday at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 12:00 p.m.
