I was feeling sick this morning, thinking about how people in the pew treat Christian leaders like rock stars, and how so many of our rock-star “leaders” seem comfortable with it.
Spiritual leaders used to be servants, now they have servants with weird titles like “armor bearers.” They used to carry their own cross, now they can’t even carry their own briefcase.
Celebrity Christians and messianic Leaders would do us all a favor if they would remember something John the Baptist said:
“I am not the Messiah.”
