The Bethel Sunday liturgy usually includes Bert The Running Man Thomson giving a pithy statement about money, quoting a Bible verse, and praying for the offering.
In light of the current economic crisis, here’s one of my favorite Bertisms*
Money is not my God; the economy is not my source.
*A Bertism is anything Bert says from the Bethel pulpit during offering time.
