Got this email ten minutes ago from Pastor Chip Payne and decided to make a quick public service announcement.

I am an Every Nation pastor in Richmond, VA. We have a couple (Lucas and Al Krost) who are involved in the film industry and are participating in a documentary contest on CurrentTV.com. Their documentary “One Nation Under Guard” made it to the finals and if they win, the Richmond Youth Life Foundation will receive a grant for $15,000. We need votes. We only have three days left and we need help.

Pastor Chip’s email contained the following note from Heather Brown Goodlett, Executive Director of the Youth Life Foundation of Richmond.

A documentary about the Richmond Youth Life Learning Center is up for a national TV award. It has made it to the final 6 and is currently in 1st place but we need your votes to stay there! PLEASE take a moment today and check out the site and vote for “One Nation Under Guard” at http://www.current.tv/make/vc2/sot

You do have to register before you can vote. Click on register, you then just have to provide your name, email address and year of birth. You can check a box so you don’t receive news updates from Current that way your email inbox doesn’t get filled with junk (I didn’t want that to put people off from voting!!). And that’s it!! Registering literally doesn’t take but 2 minutes.

Please make this a priority.  Voting ends December 1! If this documentary wins, YLFR gets $15,000 – that is a great amount of money, so it is worth us taking some time to make sure it happens. For instance, that money could pay for 2 students to attend the program or could go towards a second center – this money could do so much for the center and our kids. Thanks so much!
