It’s great to be back in Manila after an exciting trip around the world that included stops in Krakow, Budapest, New York City, Nashville, and the SF Bay area. Here are some highlights.

  • Krakow, Poland. I met Rice Broocks and Tony Boselli in Krakow to celebrate the leadership transfer from American missionaries (Jeff & Anna Bullock) to our Polish leadership team. Jeff & Anna are some of Every Nation’s finest missionaries and church planters, having served God in Eastern Europe for ten years.
  • Budapest, Hungary. Rice, Tony, and I spent several days in Budapest with Jeff, Joe Martin (Dallas), Blake Weir (Croatia), and Wolfi Eckleben (London, the “greatest city in the world!”) scouting out the city and developing the strategy for our newest church plant, which will be led by the Bullocks.
  • New York City. It was encouraging seeing so many Filipinos from our Manila congregations who are now living in NYC and making disciples in our NYC church. Ron Lewis and his team are building a great church in a very un-churched city.
  • SF Bay Area. As in NYC, it was great to see that many from our Manila church are helping establish our newest church in Northern California.
  • Nashville. Our time in Nashville was one conference after another including: Equip ’05 where I taught on discipleship and church growth, Every Nation School of Church Planting where I ministered on leadership, Every Nation Youth Conference where I ministered to youth pastors from all over the USA.
  • Manila. I returned to Manila midnight Saturday night, just 10 hours before the 21-year anniversary of our University-Belt congregation, where Pastor Gilbert Foliente and his team continue to raise a standard of righteousness and preach a message of hope to thousands of Filipino students.

It is hard to believe we have lived on this side of the world for 21 years. We are thankful for every year and every day that God had allowed us to serve him here.
